September 1st Challenge is Up at Once Upon a Sketch

One of my favorite sketch challenge blogs, Once Upon a Sketch, has a new challenge.  This time, the journalling criteria is to have a year which is memorable to you as the title, and there must be a journal at least 2 lines discussing why.

As an additional inspiration, a lovely sketch is provided:

My take:

Title: 2011

I used the sketch in 2's using small pictures of my son.

Did some stamping of Prima musical notes on the buttons using Stazon.

Journal: Since the first few signs of developed motor skills, you have been thumping on any object you can reach to create a sound.  So on your second birthday, we couldn’t think of anything but to give you a drum set.  Boy! You were so happy and excited! You played like a pro . . . Ooops! You’ve got here a stage parent in the making.

Supplies: Echo Park Metropolitan Dots and Stripes; Cuttlebug Musical Note Die; Technique Tuesday Stamp by Ali Edwards; Prima Stamp; Tickets.

Thanks for looking.
