Another Christmas giveaway idea from April. I made 4x4 memo pads for busy moms who always have endless lists of things-to-do/buy. For the scrappers who do not have much time to shop, this is just so easy to make with your Zutter's Bind-it-All and Dreamkuts.

2009 Calendar
I attended the anniversary celebration of Lasting Impression last November 15, 2008. The ever ingenious April Joy showed us how to make a calendar. It gave me an idea on what to give friends this Christmas . . . although after finishing 5, it made me think twice if this is a good idea after all. :)
Among the techniques applied for each calendar months, I find the use of thickers fastest because you do not have to embellish much as the letters themselves provided the embellishment.
Here are the finished products (Oh I hate to give them away)

Mini jam was a Blast
As usual, the Mini jam sponsored by Scrapbook Hawaii and Little Attic last November 29, 2008 was a blast. The food was again gastronomically satisfying; the scrapbook goodies and the sale were a treat; and the demos were scraptistically enriching. I was also able to meet some of the charming people of scrapbooking, namely, Bjay, Alby and Lee.
The mini jam was an opportunity for me to use my long-time purchased alcohol ink. With all my courage and optimism, I was able to come up with a LO with some alcohol ink element. . . although I sure need more guidance from the experts. I used a Heidi Swapp ghost butterfly and dyed it using my limited supply of alcohol ink. It turned out nice . . . or so my husband told me. Actually, I call it an alcohol ink accident. I just dropped the inks and I guess nature just took its course.
My First LO with Alcohol Ink
And the most selfish reason why I consider the Nov. 29, 2008 Mini jam as a blast is because I won the first prize for the most embellished CD album. The announcement came in as a surprise because we were asked to complete the project within a very limited time (or a conceived time constrained). Since the project was about embellishment, I just put all the bling bling I brought to the event. My Fairy Art Godmother must have whispered to the judges my name and so my name was called.
Embellished CD Album
For winning the Most Embellished Cd Album, I won fancy pants acrylic letters, album and paper stack.
I want to thank Nette and Marisa for always coming up with this kind of eventful activity where scrapbookers can expound their artistic skills and knacks. I want also to share my appreciation to the Scrapin Moms finalists, Yoyin, Donna and Cookie for their patience in teaching us more about the craft.

My First Ever Scrapbook Feat
Thanks for visiting.
This was my entry during the last Scrapbukan Anniversary event. We were made to alter a journal using Jenni Bowlin line. I won the first prize . . . my first ever scrapbook feat after months of being hooked in the art. I was just lucky to have available stuff which matched the Jenni Bowlin yummies at Scrapbukan. I won a 50% off in all my purchases at Scrapbukan during the October 2008 Scrapfest.
Thanks for visiting.
